Sidama region have large potential to produce dairy products. Out of the total livestock population in the country, about 20% is found in Sidama region. Currently total annual milk production potential of the region are 247,414.38 tone and share of consumption is 60.3% and the left 39.7% expected to be supplied to local market and for sea market.
