ኢንዱስትሪ ማፋጠን ለኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ ቅድሚያ የሚሰጠው ጉዳይ ሆኗል። ኢንዱስትሪ ማፋጠን ለኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ ቅድሚያ የሚሰጠው ጉዳይ የሆነበት ሁለት ምክንያቶች አሉ፡ መጀመሪያ፣ ኢትዮጵያ የግብርና ሀገር ናት። በዚህም ምክንያት መጀመሪያ የግብርና ጥሬ ዕቃዎቻችንን በማቀነባበር ወደ ተረፈ-ምርት በመለወጥ በአለም አቀፍ ገበያ ላይ መሸጥ አለብን። ለሁለተኛው የኢንዱስትሪ መስፋፋት ምክንያት ደግሞ በአሁኑ ወቅት አብዛኛው የወጪ ንግዳችን እንደ ቡና ያሉ ጥሬ ዕቃዎችና ቁሳቁሶች በመሆናቸው ነው።
